Media Meet-Up
This was a YouTube Brand Identity for my client who reviews a range of movies, TV shows and video games. So, I worked with him to create his logo, banner, video intro and outro screen image.
The Logo
My client was looking for an original logo made of shapes and lines, in a similar style to the IGN logo design. I first started with a blank canvas and physically drawing what came to mind and made some shapes out of it. Next, I selected the best ones and reproduced them in Adobe Illustrator, which I then rearranged to find some suitable candidates for him to choose from. he liked this one the most and then we decided a white version with a black background would look best.

The Banner
I was given the say on the design of the banner, which I compiled from some ideas I found when looking at examples based on the themes of this channel. Then I combined two ideas that I had for the background (side-by-side of characters and a mixture of blended reference images in the background). The client wanted a blue coloured background and then I just made the main text colours match the logo to keep that colour theme going.

The Outro Screen
The Outro was fairly simple, I used a layout I previously created and added in all the elements of what my client wanted on the end screen. Then I was able to change the background colours and make a contrast with the gradients and the spaces where he would place his video and channel end cards on YouTube. Lastly, he wanted me to add some reference images similarly to the banner design and that was it.
The Intro
My client had a basis for how he wanted this to look and that included footage of shows, movies and gameplay captures that he took himself. Then he wanted a fast slideshow-esque intro with his logo coming in at the end, with different motion graphics on the screen. I was able to find a few tutorials using after effects to learn how to use certain tools that would allow me to get the effects I was after. After that, it was really just adding the music he wanted and placing the different clips together to cut in line with the beat.
