JOSHY-KUN

This was a YouTube Brand Identity for my client who does lifestyle videos about his life and  personal interests (like K-pop, fashion and dance). So, I worked with him to create his logo, banner, intro and outro video.

The Banner

Because my client had a new logo, he came to me to update his banner because he wanted the same layout but with a full 8-bit theme. We were able to create this more efficiently by working together to find all the necessary components to add to the background scene. Then I just wanted a simple design of a plant with his channel name across it, and then words orbiting around it based on his content. I'm really proud of this banner because it has a fun theme and involved both me and the client to create it in a short amount of time.

The Intro

This was an update to the original intro based on the original logo I made for my client. But he wanted me to use the same design layout as the centre of the banner, and to add the same background image as the outro so the same theme was found throughout his channel. The original idea behind the video was that the planet was orbiting an invisible central point and then stopped mid-orbit and thus reveals the logo before disappearing as it starts rotating. So, we kept that same idea but just changed some details: the directions the planet went across the screen and animating the elements to move to the beat playing.

The Original Banner

The first banner was based on the theme of planets and my client wanted the logo in the centre, with rings around it like Saturn. Then he wanted me to illustrate the earth with clothes rotating around it, which would fit with his content based around fashion. I also made a sun, which was then placed in the corner just to add to the overall theme of the banner. Lastly, my client wanted a 8-bit version of his socials and I found some icons to use for it and matched their colours to the rectangles where his usernames were.

The Outro

My client wanted an 8-bit themed background for the outro and then he wanted his bitmoji to pop out during the video. I was able to use a basic layout for all the elements he required and then I just made it fit with the theme of a night time sky in space (e.g. white glows and contrasting text). Then after figuring the layout and visual appearance, I then exported the different layers out to put it in a video editing software and compiled the outro video together.
